From December to March, we switch to the Rio Negro, the largest of the Amazon's tributaries, where a 27 pound world record peacock bass was caught in 1994. Here we have many options, once fish over a 500 miles a long the Rio Negro between hundreds of islands and their lagoons.

Or we choose one of about 10 different tributaries (Caurés, Jufarís, Cuiuni, Aracá, Demeni, Ariraha, Padauari, Preto, Jurubaxi, Uneiuxi) with spectacular ponds, always looking for the best water level and fishing conditions. Charter flights from Manaus take us to our houseboat where we begin fishing within a few hours.
